Frequently asked questions
Is it free for my families to compare their award?
Yes, they can upload their award letter to see how it compares to similar families and get feedback on the potential of their appeal case.
How many colleges can they compare?
There is no limit on the number of award letters they can upload and compare. Multiple awards from similar colleges can strengthen their appeal case.
Are their uploaded awards kept private?
Yes. We never share their actual award with similar families, or anyone. We only use the data on their anonymized award letter within a larger dataset to help families compare.
Are there paid, not free resources?
Yes. Underclassman can pay for Insights, which personalizes merit estimates based on past awards. College average merit data is free and all award / appeal resources. Insights is included in our consulting plan and high school counselors / companies can bulk purchase.
